Young White Sox Fans Called to Honor Baseball History Through Jackie Robinson Video Contest

Beginning today the Chicago White Sox will give all young filmmakers, historians and baseball fans across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana an opportunity to display their creativity and passion for baseball history as part of the fifth annual Jackie Robinson Video Contest.

All students, grades 6–12, are invited to submit a short video about any inspiring man or woman who helped pave the way for African-Americans and Latinos in the game of baseball. With this year marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Negro Leagues, the White Sox are hoping submissions will shine a spotlight on some of the Leagues’ unsung heroes who greatly contributed to the history and legacy of the sport in Chicago.
