Yankees 5, White Sox 3: Ninth Inning Rally Falls Short

The Yankees (65-52) got the win over the White Sox (68-50) by a score of 5-3 after things got interesting in the ninth inning. It’s never good to see your home team lose a series on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, but hey, at least we saw Justin Fields and Tim Anderson interact before the game.

From one face of Chicago to another.

Lucas Giolito was on the mound to start the game, and got into trouble right from the jump after back-to-back walks to Brett Gardner and Aaron Judge. Luckily, he was able to then record back-to-back strikeouts to end the threat and the inning.
