You know the world is upside down these days when, on top of everything else, the White Sox are on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” for the first time in more than seven years.
So maybe that’s the reason announcer Matt Vasgersian suggested people in Schaumburg — northwest suburban Schaumburg — would be upset when he took a brief detour to brief talked about the Cubs during the South Side team’s first “SNB” regular-season appearance since Mother’s Day 2013.
It’s also possible Vasgersian was confused because the White Sox taxi squad is based in Schaumburg, or maybe he just was fed bum information.
