The White Sox Triple-A minor league affiliate Charlotte Knights welcomed back Jacob May on August 9. May, who had missed time recovering from an oblique injury hadn’t appeared in a game since July 15. May wasn’t having much of a productive season with the Knights before his injury.

The outfielder’s return for the Knights can serve as a showcase for a potential call-up next month. May, who has tools to be a fourth outfielder is currently hitting .237 with Charlotte. May has collected four hits over six games since his return.
