White Sox sign Chris Flexen to one-year deal

The White Sox continued their renaissance of veteran one-year deals and Korean baseball experience this weekend, announcing a one-year, $1.75 million contract with starting pitcher Chris Flexen on Saturday morning. The deal was first reported on Friday by USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. Flexen, 29, was a 14th-round pick of the Mets in 2012 and appeared in 27 games in three seasons with them. He joined the KBO’s Doosan Bears before the 2020 season, where his 3.01 ERA in just over 116 innings was enough to get him a two-year, $4.75 million deal with the Seattle Mariners.
