White Sox prospect Tim Anderson hopes to have long stay at shortstop

Tim Anderson played left field and bench during his first brush with high school baseball, which arrived two years tardy thanks to two major injuries he suffered while playing basketball.

In Anderson's first varsity game as a junior at Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala., he didn't step foot in the batter's box.
