The White Sox are placing outfielder Leury Garcia on the disabled list, with Ryan LaMarre returning from Triple-A Charlotte to replace him.
They also announced Tuesday that reliever Tyler Danish is being optioned to Charlotte to open a spot for Michael Kopech, who makes his major-league debut against the Twins tonight at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Garcia suffered a hamstring injury in Monday night’s victory against the Twins in Minneapolis. He has been bothered by leg injuries throughout the season.
It’s unclear if manager Ricky Renteria will return from Minneapolis in time for tonight’s game.
