White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon exits Monday’s start vs. the Brewers after 2 innings with left shoulder soreness

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon exited after two innings Monday night against the Milwaukee Brewers with left shoulder soreness. He will be re-evaluated Tuesday.

Monday marked his second start of the season. He allowed five runs on four hits in 3u2154 innings in the second game of a doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians on July 28 at Progressive Field.

Rodon made seven starts in 2019 before undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery on his left elbow. He went 3-2 with a 5.19 ERA and 46 strikeouts before the injury.

The No. 3 pick in the 2014 draft, Rodon was limited to 12 starts in 2017 because of left biceps bursitis and left shoulder inflammation.
