White Sox outfielder Adam Eaton named Gold Glove finalist

White Sox outfielder Adam Eaton has been named a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award in right field.

Eaton, who was a finalist in center field in 2014, is one of three American League finalists in right field, along with the Red Sox’s Mookie Betts and the Astros’ George Springer.

Eaton led major-league outfielders with 18 assists, the most by a Sox outfielder since Jim Rivera’s 22 and Minnie Minoso’s 19 in 1955. He also was second to Betts with 22 defensive runs saved.
