The Knights (31-32) offense exploded for 10 runs in the first two innings on Sunday to cap off a high-octane weekend and snag the 10-9 win over the IronPigs (43-20) for the series — even with a bullpen snafu. Charlotte averaged just more than eight runs per game in the series (49 total), but their pitching struggled a bit and gave up just 10 less (39).
The Knights put up eight hits to the Pelicans’ nine and went 3-for-6 with runners in scoring position.
