A five-run win in game two of three adds to a White Sox win streak, as well as sealing a second straight series win. Chicago (53-35) has won four consecutive games, while the Orioles (28-60) become the second MLB team to lose 60 games this season.
It was quite the eventful third inning in Baltimore. With runners on first and second base with nobody out, White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson hit a ground-rule double to right field, scoring a run and giving Chicago a 2-0 lead. The line drive stayed just fair past the glove of Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle before being scooped up by the right-field ball boy, the umpires awarding Anderson a ground rule double on the interference.
