The White Sox tagged Yankees right-hander Luis Severino with seven earned runs over 2 2/3 innings to pull to a 7-1 lead Friday night at Yankee Stadium.
Adam Eaton hit a two-run double and Jimmy Rollins added his second homer of the year, a two-run shot to right field, to drive Severino from the game. It was Rollins' first homer since the second game of the season, April 5 in Oakland.
In the second inning, Alex Avila recorded his first RBI with a double to left-center field and Jose Abreu added a two-out, two-run single.
Sox left-hander Chris Sale gave up a solo homer in the bottom of the second to Chase Headley, who entered the game 4-for-9 with a double and a homer off Sale.
