Jose Abreu may be staying in a Chicago White Sox uniform after all. According to Rob Bradford, talks with the Boston Red Sox were significantly overstated. Ken Rosenthal also wrote it’s unlikely Abreu is traded. That could be good news for fans.
The news isn’t much of a surprise. Rick Hahn had such a high asking price, it was tough to find a team who could swing a deal. The last report was the Sox were asking an ‘arm and both legs‘ for their stud first baseman. This led many to believe they weren’t serious about trading him.
