White Sox fall 6-4, can’t secure first series sweep

After a back-and-forth game, the Chicago White Sox dropped the series finale against the Colorado Rockies, 6-4.

The Rockies got on the board quick in the bottom of the first inning against Shane Smith, as Mickey Moniak clubbed a leadoff home run to right center. The team added on in the bottom of the second inning as a dreaded leadoff walk to Ryan McMahon came around to score after a single and fielder’s choice RBI by Yanquiel Fernández brought him around.

The South Siders finally fired back off of Rockies starter Chase Dollander, thanks to a mix of good offense by the White Sox, and some good luck.
