The Indians wasted little time getting after White Sox starter Jose Quintana. The left-handed pitcher allowed two runs in the second inning after right fielder Adam Eaton missed on a diving catch, allowing Lonnie Chisenhall to drive in two runs on a triple.
They added another run in the third after Juan Uribe hit a flyout to center field to score Jose Ramirez from third and one in the eighth when Yan Gomes snuck a triple past Frazier, allowing Mike Napoli to score from third.
The Sox broke through in the sixth inning when third baseman Todd Frazier scored after an errant throw went into center field when he stole second base.
