White Sox call up Francellis Montas, three others

It's that time of the year where ball clubs want to get a look at some of their young talent from the minors.

On Tuesday, MLB rosters expanded to 40 players from 25, allowing teams to start bringing up players to help at the major-league level.

The White Sox started their roster expansion by calling up RHP Erik Johnson, catcher Rob Brantly and infielder Leury Garcia from Triple-A Charlotte and RHP Francellis Montas from Double-A Birmingham.

All four players already have some big-league experience under their belts.

Johnson pitched early in 2014 for the White Sox but struggled mightily and was sent back down.
