For the first time this season, Rick Renteria will have all the planned-for pieces of the White Sox lineup at his disposal at the same time.
The team brought second baseman Nick Madrigal off the injured list ahead of Friday's series-opener with the Kansas City Royals. Madrigal separated his shoulder while sliding into third base in an Aug. 4 game against the Milwaukee Brewers, just his fifth game as a major leaguer.
That injury seemed like it might have been a scarier one at first, with White Sox fans briefly having flashbacks to the bad news that was Michael Kopech requiring Tommy John surgery after just his fourth big league outing in 2018.
