CHICAGO — Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox today announced their 2022 regular-season schedule, with Opening Day for the White Sox on Thursday, March 31 against the Minnesota Twins at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Opening Day is part of a three-game, weekend series against the division-rival Twins (off day on April 1). The Sox open the season against Minnesota for the fifth time in franchise history, an American League Central opponent for the 18th time since 2001 and at home for the seventh time since 2009 (first since 2020).
Following the opening series, the White Sox embark on a six-game, seven-day trip to Kansas City (April 4–7; off day on April 5) and Detroit (April 8–10) to open the road portion of the season.
