The White Sox signed four 16-year-old international free agents on Thursday, headlined by a familiar name.
Infielders Fernando Tatis Jr., Brayant Nova and Santo Vasquez and outfielder Franklin Reyes agreed to terms with the White Sox on the first day teams are allowed to sign international free agents. Baseball America reported Reyes earned a $1.5 million bonus, Tatis a $700,000 bonus and Vasquez a $300,000 bonus. All four players are natives of the Dominican Republic.
"We are extremely excited to add each of these four young men to the Chicago White Sox organization today,” general manager Rick Hahn said.
