Last Night’s Highlights

Call them Robin and the Newcomers, call them the New Age White Sox and after last night’s dramatic 5-4 win on the strength of huge contributions from recently acquired Jimmy Rollins, Todd Frazier, Austin Jackson, Brett Lawrie and Alex Avila, call them 2-0…It was Rollins who put the Sox over the top for good with a two-out solo homer in the ninth inning after Oakland tied the score in the bottom of the eighth (click on top link below)…It was Frazier’s two-out, three-run homer in the fifth that gave the Sox a 3-1 lead (click on middle link) and Jackson’s infield single, which scored Lawrie from third base, that put the fourth run on the board in the sixth (click on bottom link).
