Rejoining the White Sox on a minor-league deal was a fairly easy decision for catcher Geovany Soto.
The 12-year major-league veteran said he enjoyed his 2015 season with the Sox, and their uncertainty at catcher gave him a good shot at playing time.
"It was a great opportunity for me to come back and really show them what I can do," Soto said.
Soto, 34, didn't get much of a chance at that last season with the Angels. He had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee in May and battled swelling in the knee throughout the season.
