Just four days later, the White Sox returned home to unveil The Baseball Palace of the World, Comiskey Park. They lost that game as well, 2-0, to the St. Louis Browns, in front of 24,900 fans.
Catcher and future Hall-of-Famer Ray Schalk became the first White Sox player to hit for the cycle, against the Tigers in Detroit. The Sox won, 9-5, with Ray going 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.
