Tim Anderson, baseball's stolen-base leader, pledging $500 to anti-violence efforts for every stolen base in 2019

Tim Anderson is putting his money where his wheels are.

The White Sox shortstop announced this week on Instagram that he's pledging $500 to his League of Leaders anti-violence charity for every stolen base he racks up during the 2019 season. That could end up being some serious cash, too, considering he currently leads baseball with 12 stolen bases and is on pace to swipe more than 40 bases before the end of the campaign.
