Last night, with the third pick in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft, the White Sox selected hard-hitting first baseman Andrew Vaughn (pictured above).

The 6–0, 214-pound, right-handed hitter out of the University of California won USA Baseball’s 2018 Golden Spikes Award, given to the best amateur player in the country, as a sophomore — hitting .
