Here’s a summary of the highlights from the Sox’ first three Cactus League games — split-squad contests vs. the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch and the A’s in Mesa on Saturday and yesterday’s game vs. the Padres in Peoria.
* Yoán Moncada (pictured above) got off to a hot start in his first Cactus League game. Moncada, playing third base, singled, doubled, drove in a run and scored in the Sox’ 6–5 loss to the A’s.
* DH Daniel Palka had an RBI double vs. the A’s.
* CF Jon Jay singled in a run in his first game in a Sox uniform during the 7–6 loss to the Dodgers.
