Sox Watch: 10 Things to Think About at the Halfway Mark

By Art Berke

1. What a Difference

After yesterday’s 4–3 win over the first-place Twins, which gave the White Sox a sweet series victory, the Good Guys are 39–42 after 81 games. Last year at this point we were 28–53 and didn’t win our 39th game until August 3. Furthermore, we have been in second place for three days this season and in third for 49 days. By comparison, the Sox spent a combined 14 days in second and third in 2018.

The White Sox are 11–5 in their last 16 home games and 21–13 at Guaranteed Rate Field since April 15.
