On Tuesday, June 18, the Birmingham Barons hosted the 2018 Southern League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. 2016 first-round White Sox draft pick and current Barons catcher Zack Collins walked away the winner of the Home Run Derby. White Sox prospects Zack Collins, Seby Zavala, Ian Hamilton, Danny Mendick and Jiménez were all selected for the North Division team. The South Division squad defeated the North Division, 9–5.
