The White Sox lost a tough one on Wednesday in Kansas City.
With a 2-1 lead, one out, and no one on in the bottom of the ninth inning, Royals catcher Salvador Perez hit a monster home run off of Liam Hendriks to even the score, 2-2. Kansas City would capitalize on the Manfred Man (automatically on second) rule in the bottom of the 10th inning, scoring the winning run off of Ryan Burr and defeating the White Sox, 3-2.
One word describes this loss: frustrating. The White Sox had multiple opportunities to make something happen, but couldn’t find that spark to light the offensive fire — something that’s been happening for the last few games.
