Robin Ventura trusts 'tough' White Sox can overcome clubhouse controversy

Chris Sale was firing from the mound Saturday rather than from the mouth, and the White Sox left-hander said he plans to keep it that way moving forward.

One day after ripping Sox executive vice president Ken Williams for the way he handled the Adam LaRoche situation in a nearly 15-minute interview, Sale was more subdued in his comments after his Cactus League debut.

"From yesterday forward, we're showing up to play baseball," Sale said after pitching 51/3 innings in a 4-2 victory over the Dodgers. "I don't think there's anything else to talk about.
