Matt Nagy has earned credibility in his first season with the Bears, but the White Sox’s Rick Renteria has subtly seized more security than any of the three other head coaches/managers among the Chicago major professional sports teams.
“I want to be here through the completion of the task,” said Renteria, who was given an extension past the 2019 season despite the team’s 100 losses in 2018.
“You guys hear me say this, but I worry about doing my job. I don't necessarily worry about my job. And I think that at the end of the day everybody here knows, the whole baseball world knows that it's ultimately about winning.
