Rebuilding has worked before for White Sox, but correct chemistry is key

As they play out the string in this disappointing season, the White Sox are at a crossroads, trying to decide whether to rebuild or retool.

Valid arguments exist for both plans, and general manager Rick Hahn has not indicated which way they'll go.

On one hand, the Cubs rebuild showed it can be done with the right moves, and President Theo Epstein didn't even have prime assets like Chris Sale, Jose Quintana and Jose Abreu to deal for prospects. Whether Hahn could replicate Epstein's success is debatable after last winter's moves, but at least a plan would be articulated.
