KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Chicago White Sox fell 3-2 on Friday to the Kansas City Royals in the opener of a three-game series.

How it happened: Lorenzo Cain’s RBI double in the sixth inning put the Royals in the lead for good as the White Sox lost for the sixth time in their past eight games.
