The White Sox rebounded nicely from Friday night’s loss with a 5–3 victory over the Tribe in the middle game of the three-game set at Progressive Field. The Sox knocked out 14 hits in the winning effort.
Jose Abreu went 3-for-5 with an RBI and run scored, Matt Davidson drove in a pair of runs, Melky Cabrera went 3-for-5 with an RBI, Avi Garcia went 2-for-4 and scored, Tim Anderson had a pair of hits and a run scored and Carlos Sanchez collected two doubles…Alen Hanson, just picked up on waivers from the Pirates, made his Sox debut as a pinch-runner in the eighth and scored the fifth run.
