Sox Star Takes Rightful Place Among Game’s Elite
José Abreu did it. The Sox slugger, who led the fan voting from start to finish via the #VoteAbreu campaign, is the starting American League first baseman for the 89th Midsummer Classic on Tuesday, July 17, at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
Abreu joins the following in the talent-rich AL starting lineup: Astros second baseman José Altuve, Orioles shortstop Manny Machado, Indians third baseman José Ramirez, Rays catcher Wilson Ramos, outfielders Mike Trout of the Angels, Mookie Betts of the Red Sox and Aaron Judge of the Yankees plus DH J.
