This isn’t likely to calm the clamor of White Sox fans demanding that Michael Kopech get the call to the big leagues.
The White Sox top-ranked pitching prospect was again excellent Saturday night, tossing seven scoreless innings and striking out nine hitters for Triple-A Charlotte.
It extended a fabulous string of starts dating back to mid July. Over his last six starts, Kopech has a 1.89 ERA, with just eight earned runs allowed and 50 strikeouts in 38 innings.
