A man was found shot to death Wednesday in southwest suburban Oak Forest.
Officers responding to reports of a possible robbery about 10:30 p.m. found him with a gunshot wound in the 4700 block of West 167th Street, according to a statement from Oak Forest Police Chief Tim Kristin.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, Kristin said. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The Oak Forest Police Department and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating.
