Luis Robert is red-hot — and the Chicago White Sox center fielder hopes it carries over to the postseason: ‘He’s playing with a lot of fun’

The Chicago White Sox center fielder watched the ball briefly before he circled the bases for a two-run home run, his second longball of the game against the Cincinnati Reds. The blast to left traveled 445 feet with an exit velocity of 111.6 mph, according to MLB Statcast.

“That’s probably the best feeling that a hitter can feel, honestly,” Robert said through an interpreter. “I would like to have more of those often. I will say that. It’s something that you enjoy, and it feels pretty good.”

Pretty good is an understatement for the way Robert has played since returning from the injured list after recovering from a Grade 3 strain of his right hip flexor.
