On Thursday, September 10, the White Sox kicked-off Hispanic Heritage Month with Los White Sox Lotería Night, presented by Modelo Especial®. Fans were invited to play along from home through a livestream on the White Sox official YouTube channel. The event marked the first time a Major League Baseball team has held a virtual Lotería game, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
During this time of social distancing, virtual game nights have become a new and exciting way to break from the ordinary and spend time with family and friends. Lotería, or Mexican bingo as some call it, is a Mexican game of chance that has spanned generations and is prominent as a cultural staple within many Mexican households.
