Earlier this week, the White Sox and the other 29 big-league clubs announced many of the nicknames — reflecting the players’ “passions, backgrounds and interests” — that will appear on the back of their jerseys during the third annual Players’ Weekend, August 23–25.

For example, Yoán Moncada will don YO-YO, Tim Anderson TA7, José Abreu MAL TIEMPO, Eloy Jiménez THE BIG BABY, Evan Marshall FORGETTING SARAH and Yolmer Sánchez NOAH ALAN.
