Seated inside a bright meeting room 20 storeys above a busy Toronto intersection, Kelly Hrudey began an interview with a question of his own: “Am I going to cry?”
He laughed.
“I'm a crier.”
The 56-year-old, a retired National Hockey League goaltender now working as an analyst with Rogers Sportsnet, was in town to promote a book written with Kirstie McLellan Day, Calling The Shots: Ups, Downs & Rebounds — My Life in the Great Game of Hockey.
And he was evidently not joking about the crying.
“I'm very emotional,” Hrudey said. “Always. My entire life.
