ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — Chicago White Sox play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti returned to calling games Friday after missing three series because of a positive COVID-19 test.
“Happy to report I’m back tonight for White Sox baseball,” Benetti wrote in part of a Twitter post. “Sincerely, thank you all for your kind and thoughtful messages. I’m grateful that you cared enough to write. You brought a smile to my face.”
“Thank you to my dear friend Len Kasper for jumping in and being supremely awesome, as usual,” Benetti tweeted. “Mike Monaco did an amazing job on a few hours notice last week.
