The Sox went to the All-Star break with the best winning percentage in the American League (.607). They are currently without starting second baseman Nick Madrigal, catcher Yasmani Grandal and outfielders Eloy Jiménez and Luis Robert because of injuries.

“It hasn’t been easy,” Sox first baseman José Abreu said through an interpreter last week in Minnesota, “but I think what (manager) Tony (La Russa) and the whole staff have done is impressive. All the credit is for them.
