“There are two known bats,” Simeon Lipman, a consultant for the New York auction house Christie’s told me Tuesday at the J.W. Marriott downtown.
And he had one. I talked to Lipman at the hotel, where he was helping the auction house showcase Chicago-related baseball memorabilia for Christie’s Golden Age of Baseball auction, which takes place on Oct. 19 in New York City.
