TAMPA, Fla. — Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford was asked Friday what he might have taken away from the time he was benched during the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
"I'm not even thinking about it," Crawford said. "It's so far gone that it's not even relevant anymore."
Performances such as the one Crawford had in Game 1 against the Lightning make the goaltending kerfuffle with Scott Darling against the Predators seem about as far away as the United Center is from Amalie Arena.
Crawford has helped the Hawks survive multiple heart-palpitating overtimes and shut down the Lightning on Wednesday after allowing a first-period goal to Alex Killorn on a remarkable deflection.
