I'm not one to usually say that a couple of unfortunate events completely changed the outcome of a game, but with both Tim Anderson and Yoan Moncada exiting early against the Kansas City Royals, I knew the offense would have a hard time securing the victory. Had both players remained in the game, I feel the Sox would have easily won the game for their fourth in a row, and completed the series sweep.
Alas, the South Siders dropped the series finale against the Royals, and will look to start their four-game series in Detroit off with a win today.
