Game Changers: Celebrating International Women’s Day

After employing one of the first female scouts in the majors with Bessie Largent, the White Sox are proud to share the storied past of female Game Changers. For International Women’s Day, the White Sox welcomed leaders from the City of Chicago, HispanicPro, Where Women CREATE and Women’s Leadership LIVE for an early celebration at the ballpark on February 25.

More than 100 female leaders and entrepreneurs joined the lively discussion featuring five incredible women. The following females addressed challenges faced by many women entrepreneurs in male-dominated industries during the International Women’s Day celebration:

· Hannah Fernandez, founder and CEO of ROI Business Funding

· Kenya Merritt, chief small business officer for the City of Chicago’s business affairs and consumer protection department

· Jo Packham, creator/editor-in-chief of best-selling magazines WHERE WOMEN CREATE, Inspiring Work Spaces of Extraordinary Women; WHERE WOMEN COOK, The Heart & Soul of Cooking; WHERE WOMEN WORK, A Passion for Success; and her newest publication: WHAT WOMEN CREATE, Inspiration for Your Imagination

· Debbie Saviano, one of the three founders of Women’s Leadership LIVE and a well-known social media design strategist and expert in online influence

· Stacey Schieffelin, co-founder of Women’s Leadership LIVE, the founder and former CEO of ybf (your best friend) beauty, LLC, Models Prefer Beauty and one of six HSN Star Entrepreneurs!
