If you’d been told before Saturday that the Flyers and Oilers would play an even game that would end up as a territorial draw, you’d probably guess that came about because Connor McDavid – the best player in the world – got his chances and goals, while the Flyers got their shots against Edmonton's depth lines.

And it was an even game. Shots on goal were 24 to 24. At 5-on- 5, the battles for shot attempts (the Flyers got 49.
