Ervin Santana looks to get on track as the White Sox face the Royals

The right-hander looks to rebound Monday against the Royals. The teams begin a three-game series at 7:10 p.m. at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Santana (0-1, 17.18 ERA) lasted only 3 2/3 innings on April 9 against the Rays. He allowed seven runs on seven hits. He surrendered three home runs.

“Hopefully he can get us some length,” White Sox manager Rick Renteria said before the game. “Continue to try to command the strike zone, execute. Be himself. He’s a veteran. He’s been around. He knows the adjustments he has to make.

“He’s been working very hard to get back to the point where he’s been in his career.
