Engel’s the Man, Tigers on Tap and a Prospect Bonanza

By Art Berke

Yesterday’s Highlights

Trailing 9–1 after seven and a half innings, the White Sox rallied for two runs in the eighth and four in the ninth, but the valiant comeback came up short as the Sox dropped the rubber game of the series and the homestand finale, 9–7, to the Indians.

The Sox scored their two runs in the eighth on solo homers by Adam Engel (3) and Yolmer Sánchez (7). In the ninth, Tim Anderson and Kevan Smith each delivered an RBI single and Engel tripled in a pair.
