Eloy Jiménez provides late-game heroics with a 3-run homer as the Chicago White Sox rally to beat the Kansas City Royals 5-3: ‘I was waiting for this moment for almost four months’

The Chicago White Sox left fielder swung, started walking and watched as the ball he had just hit went far beyond Kauffman Stadium’s wall in left-center .

Jiménez hit a dramatic go-ahead three-run home run in the eighth inning as the Sox rallied to beat the Kansas City Royals 5-3 in front of 14,298.

“I was waiting for this moment for almost four months,” Jiménez said. “And it’s good. It’s really good. This moment is really good especially after all that happened in spring training. Now I’m finally back. It’s good. It’s really good.”

Jiménez went 2-for-4 and played well defensively in left in his second game of the season.
